Managing construction plans for large construction companies takes a leap forward with first-of-its-kind automatic secure folder synchronization added to mobile collaboration app for AEC industry and construction professionals.
Plano, Tx (PRWeb) April 6, 2016. BluVue, the leader in cloud-based mobile construction plan and document synchronization, today announced a new integration with Egnyte, the market leader in Adaptive Enterprise File Services, allowing seamless bi-directional synchronization of PDF construction plans.
The integration is the first of it’s kind in the construction industry, where typically mobile applications have relied on separate, converted drawing file formats to permit rapid mobile access, panning and zooming, but has resulted in the markup, edits and annotations made to these files being stranded on the provider’s platform, and no longer accessible by stakeholders using standard PDF viewers.
The ground-breaking integration provides a full-resolution round-trip between best-of-breed platforms, including:
■ Automatic PDF construction drawing sync from customers’ specified Egnyte folders into BluVue Plans, for use within the mobile collaboration app on iOS or Android devices
■ Automated PDF construction drawing export sync of field markups, annotations, and image attachments in BluVue Plans back to the user’s Egnyte account as a complete PDF drawing set.
■ Save selected sheets or entire project drawing sets, with or without markups, to a new Egnyte folder, to facilitate sharing with external stakeholders
"Egnyte has established a reputation as a key player in the cloud-storage space and their secure cloud, on-premise, and hybrid technology is used by some of the largest and most successful companies. We’re excited to be a part of the ecosystem that Egnyte has created and to enable firms to have more richly featured choices to store and manage their important documents and blueprints, as well as to simplify the process for accessing their project outside of BluVue Plans,” said Jeff Musa, President of BluVue LP.
“Architecture, engineering and construction has been a strong segment of business for Egnyte, and our cooperation with BluVue is a logical extension of our commitment to serve our customers in this category. The integration built between BluVue and our Egnyte platform will help our customers seamlessly connect with their content, providing ease-of-use for the users with a necessary layer of control for IT,” said Ronen Vengosh, Vice President of Business Development at Egnyte.
